Will I Run Into a Problem Sending Out Lots of Emails?

  • Hi all. I’ve been trying to setup an email subscriber list and emails that automatically get sent out when I make a new post.

    So I got postman smtp all setup with the Email Subscribers plugin. Working perfect! No more question marks on my emails, because they’re actually coming from my gmail, not my wordpress server and my gmail listed.

    My only concern is…will I run into a problem if I get a BIG email list? Say I get 500 people on my subscriber list, and postman smtp tells gmail to send out 500 emails. Is that ok?

  • Do not send more than 500 emails per day.

    Gmail does impose a send limit for emails. Google will disable your account for 24 hours if exceed this number or you get too many bounces.

    You can use ESP like Pepipost and send up to 25000 emails free per month for lifetime.

    sparkpost lets you send 100,000 email a month and a limit of 10,000 a day free for life
