Will Easy Fancybox be compatible with php 8

  • You knew the question would be coming ?? I think I know the answer, I love this plugin but will it still work after we eventually update to php 8??

    Just wondering is this plugin will be updated so that it does not use jQuery to keep this awesome plugin going any work on this?

    Hi, it has not been tested on PHP 8 yet. If you do switch your site to PHP8 and get any errors, please let me know ??

    In the mean time, the FancyBox script will not be made independent of jQuery. The animations are too complex to easily convert to stand-alone javascript. If you are looking for a light box without jQuery, then you’ll have to find another plugin. Sorry.

    Ok thank you so much for your reply! I understand how hard it is to keep up with stuff! Ok I was wondering for the future I guess. It is my understanding that by the time we all absolutely have to move to php8 it won’t be supporting jQuery at all… so what will happen to the plugin then? Will it become obsolete? Maybe I’m wrong and if I am please correct me!
