Will creating a child theme delet my changes?

    Hey there,

    I am using Hestia Pro and have made quite a few changes to the site before I just found out about using a child theme. Is it possible to now create a child theme for further use or is it too late for that (ie will creating a child theme now delete all the changes I have made so far)?
    Just want to make sure.

  • Hello aikichick2012,

    The purpose of child theme that whenever a pareant theme is updated , the site will be up. So if you want to work with child theme please ensure that keep all changes within the child theme(it’s a good practice).

    You can still create the child theme, it’s better . The changes you made with the child theme that will remain uneffected whether you upgrade the parent theme .
