    Hi,

I have just started using BetterLinks and have the free version, so I cannot see analytics. If upgrade to the pro version which allows for unlimited sites, will I be able to see the analytics going back to when I first installed the free version?

    Thank you

    Hello there @flatword

Hope you are doing well. Really sorry for the inconvenience. You Already have access to the analytics through the Free version. Please make sure to Fetch the analytics data from the settings, Take a look here : https://d.pr/v/YBZS5I

Yes it will work retroactively, We also have the complete feature Documentation here : https://betterlinks.io/docs/configure-analytics-betterlinks/

    Hope it helps
Let me know how it goes
Looking forward to hearing from you
    Thanks

Thank you Pial. That was not only very helpful, but also an appreciated quick reply!

So…do I need to always do that Refresh when I want to view the most current stats?

And is there a certain length of history kept or will it keep all history forever?

    Thanks again!

    Hello again @flatword

    Really appreciate your positive feedback.

Regarding your question, Unless you clear the data it will record every click, there is no limitation.

And Analytics data is updated within 1 hour interval so you only need to refresh to get the last 1 hour Data.

    Hope it helps

Again Really appreciate your support & understanding.
Looking forward to hearing from you
    Thanks

Thank you for the follow up. And my apologies for the delay in replying.

You wrote ”?Unless you clear the data it will record every click”. What does “clear the data” mean? I saw in the documentation about clearing cache, but I don’t consider “cache” and “data” to be the same thing.

With the free version, can I clear the analytic data for only certain links? If I go to the bottom of the analytics and select details for 1 of my links, there is a Reset Analytics button, but when I click on it, I can’t tell if it will clear only for the selected link or clear for all the links. The Reset Analytics message looks the same whether you select it on the page that shows all the links and on the page if you select Details for a link. So I am unclear if there’s a difference.

Also, can the data be cleared by more than just the 30 day and 90 day option?

Is there a way to set the link clicks to some number manually if I don’t want to clear it but I know a lot of it is test data?

    Hello again @flatword

Really sorry for the confusion, what I Meant was if you Reset the analytics only then it will delete the data, Like this : https://d.pr/v/lOjNMO

Regarding other queries, Actually It will delete the entire Analytics data and currently we only have 30 & 90 days and Delete All options.
And unfortunately we don’t have the option to reset/delete any individual link analytic.

We have plans on improving our analytics very soon and it’s already in our Development Pipeline

    Hope you understand

I know you said the Reset button will delete all analytics data and there is no way to do that for individual links. But I have come across many times I wish that, after testing, I could Reset a particular link just before going live with it. So I wonder if you would consider that as a possible addition to a new version? Thank you

In the meantime, would deleting a BetterLink and re-creating it achieve the goal of resetting the analytics data for that link (i.e. does deleting a BetterLink delete it’s usage history as well)? If so, then the only downside is you have to make sure you create an exact copy after you delete it and then you will want to test it again and then you have test data in the analytics. ??
