Wierd Widget/Tarski problem

  • On my sister in laws homepage I have a problem in the widget sidebar.

    The problem is the nice little “dot” in front of “links”. I’ve been searching the web, and tryinf to find it in the PHP files, but without any luck. Please help me I’m trying to pry her away from myspace.

  • Tarski has a special sidebar links widget that works better with the Tarski theme. You can read up on it here, and that should take care of the formatting issue.

    OK I don’t get that. please explain it to me in a easy to understand way. Where do I copy the text into which file?

    This is the important paragraph:

    Luckily for you, we’ve coded a replacement widget. Simply put that code in a file in wp-content/plugins/widgets, activate it in your Plugins pane, and finally select the brand spanking new ‘Tarski Links’ Widget.

    Open this file, save it as tarski_links.php, and upload it to your WordPress widgets directory and activate. Then install the Tarski Links widget, replacing the default links widget. ??

    Sorry for the delay. I just updated WordPress and Tarski.

    I’ve copied the file to my directory renaming it to .php, but it does not show as a widget.

    Open that link in your browser, do a CTRL-A in the browser and save that text into a file called tarski_links.php.

    Put that tarski_links.php file in your wp-contents/plugins directory and you will be able to activate it in you plugin admin section.

    On my browser saving that link will just save the html code and not the plugin.
