    I am using the Lifestyle template and the primary navigation sidebar is on the right and secondary is on the left. Is there any way to switch them or adjust the width? The secondary sidebar on the left is too narrow to handle the menus I would like to have there.

    You will see in the left secondary sidebar that the menus are wrapping down to another line. Need to get that sidebar a little wider to avoid the wrapping.

    That width is set here:

    #sidebar-alt {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F5F5F5;
        float: left;
        padding: 15px 15px 5px;
        width: 120px;
    }

    But changing it will also require changing the width of other elements on the page to avoid breaking the layout — which may not be that simple unless you know CSS.

    I’d suggest contacting studiopress for help — as that’s a commercial theme and they are not generally supported here. Support is part of what you pay for with commercial themes.

    Can you recommend a standard theme that is similar in nature that would have the wider left column? I have looked through many included and am unable to find one that the heading can be changed and also has custom menus etc.

    You can look for 3-column themes here, using the filter:

    I’ve heard that Weaver II is a great theme with excellent support —

    and it has the same general layout as yours.

    I found Mantra. Allows total control of the sidebar sizes although in a 3 column both left and right must be same size. Working with it now to see but will check out Weaver also. Thanks.
