Width of Events in Full Calendar too small

Our theme is based on Twenty-Ten. The events aren’t spanning the entire width of the calendar day in full calendar view, so it creates practically one word on each line like this:

Does anyone know what styles need to be changed to get this to display properly? In the demo using the twenty-eleven theme (https://wp-event-organiser.com/demo/calendar/), the inline width (that i’m assuming is dynamically generated by the plugin’s PHP) is consistently 76px. Mine is consistently 37px, just shy of 50% of the width it should be, if that’s any clue…
We really want to buy the pro version of this plugin, but can’t until we get the formatting to be acceptable!!
