• Hi there, I’ve searched on Width and found nothing. I’ve been using WordPress on my own site for nearly a week, and I’ve stumbled around a few themes, My site at present is at https://www.portsmouthshotokan.com/wordpress and I’m using a theme called Mandigo.
I’m a bit confused about the width of the display. I’m had a look around the themes on WordPress and the 2 column themes seem to all be the same, with a 3rd of the screen being used for borders. I’ve used tables before in Dreamweaver and normally set them to a % of the screen size so they automatically size to say 85% of the screen width.

What I’d like to do is either edit this theme so that it scales to 85% of the width of the screen so I get more text per line that at current. or use a similar theme that does this, can anyone point me to how I can either achieve this with what I have at present if possible , or does anyone know of a nice two column theme with a sidebar that uses more horizontal space than mine at present. ?
    Thanks in advance

  • You might want to look at some of the “fluid width” themes at the WP theme viewer.

Yeah, I’ve been through and through those themes there and seen some tests. I wish there was a selection for customised header from the left bar though. Not many there that I like though compared to the theme I’m using at the moment. The square calender dates, etc, so I suppose I’ll have to work out how to stretch the one I have installed then…..
