Width / Blog side bar

  • Hi ,

    Im pretty new to wordpress and i just wondered if someone could help me with a few my problems which im having because they are really starting to stress me out.

    Firstly i would like to know how to make the width of my content wider?. I feel its a bit narrow at the moment, iv tried so many things and I cant change it?

    Secondly, I want to remove the side bar from ONLY my blog? Iv already tried a quite a few things but again i am stuck.

    Im sure they are both simple things to change, any help would be highly appreciated
