    Hi there,

I have the Max Width set to ‘0’, to disable to option and Max Height set to ‘720’ pixels, but when I try to upload an image that is over 720 pixels wise it get scaled to the Max Height amount of 720 even though the Max Width set to ‘0’.

I was trying to upload a header that is 1240 px wide by 80 px high and assumed with the Max Width set to ‘0’ no scaling would happen.

    Is this supposed to happen?

    Hi JapeNZ,

I just tested it and it worked as intended. I uploaded a 1200px wide image (600 high), and it didn’t resize it. Did you change the correct setting (the second one that is for uploading images)? Can you share an image you tried and I can test it out? Can you share a screenshot of what your setting looks like? Do you have an object cache that might be holding onto settings?

    Hi @adamewww,

Thank you for taking a look at this for me ??

I’ve just retested and had the same result, the image I uploaded was 920px wide but was resized to 720.

    Here are my settings:

And here’s the resulting image details:

Please let me know if I have the settings wrong.

Using ‘-noresize’ to skip the image works fine.

    Thank you for you help!

That’s very odd. Do you perhaps have an object cache that might be holding onto old settings?

I’m trying to think of what might cause the setting to apply to width when you have it marked for height and I’m coming up blank. I ran five different tests with different images and dimensions and they all worked correctly. Do you have any other image optimization plugins running? Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin?

    Hi @adamewww,
No problem, using the?‘-noresize’ to skip the image works fine so I just do that.

Other image based plugins I currently run are Converter for Media and Media Cleaner, I also use WP Rocket for caching as well as the WP Engine cache for Woocommerce… though no object cache is active.

Not sure what’s causing the issue, but it’s an easy fix and I rarely upload images over 720px wise so it’s really not that much hassle.

    Thanks for your help!
