    Hello,

I’m having a problem with my sidebar widgets not working for 2010 theme. I drag and drop them as required, and they do stay where I put them, but when I go to the actual site, the changes do not take place. The default meta, and archives widgets remain however, even though I deleted them from the sidebar. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Hi,

Are you sure you added them correctly? You need to click on Save after adding each of the widgets.
If that is not the issue, did you make any changes to the theme that might have broken the sidebar? Try restoring the original theme see if the issue remains.
Also, if you are going to be changing the theme around, I suggest you create a child theme (See the Child themes Codex article) instead of modifying the original one directly.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Were you able to figure this out? Please let us know.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your help Marventus. It appears that WP Super Cache plugin was the culprit. Once I disabled it the widgets started working. Perhaps I had it configured wrong or something.

Glad to know you figured it out. Would you mind marking this topic as resolved then?

    Thanks!
