Widgets that have no options

I would like to use this plugin with the MailChimp widget. However, “There are no options for this widget”, and it does not have a “Save” button. So no matter what boxes I check for the widget’s visibility, those preferences disappear as soon as I navigate away from the widget configuration page. How do I make these two plugins work together?
