    I have a blog at https://ange.pw, and I have customized the sidebars and such a month or so ago, and had not touched it since.
    I recently wanted to update it, so I went in to the Appearance > Widgets to move things around/edit the widgets, to find that none of the widgets “move” (when you click on it, it should toggle up and down, or you can drag it across the page to deactivate, etc.), and when I click on the arrow next to the active widgets to expand it to edit the contents, it does not respond.

    The WordPress version is the newest one, and I checked my other websites that use wordpress, but they do not have this issue.
    Along with it, for some reason, my Jetpack’s “Site Stats” page does not load… I’m wondering if it may be a same issue.

    I am a novice at WordPress, so I have no idea where to even start looking. Help will be appreciated! Thank you!!

  • It might be that one of the plugins creates the problem.
    Try the following:

    1. Use FTP to access your site
      bv. https://filezilla-project.org/download.php
    2. rename all plugins by putting a ‘0’ in front of each plugin -folder;
      ../wp-content/plugins
    3. Check if the access / ‘normal functioning’ has been restored
    4. If so: one-by-one, remove the ‘0’, checking every time to see if the problem re-occurs.
    5. when the problem re-occurs, you’ve found the source of the problem; Delete and find a similar plugin that works with your site
    6. alternatively: FTP:Delete; Then download and install / activate a NEW version of the problematic plugin and see if this works.
