Widgets suddenly showing broken links

  • `Along with the dashboard stats/comments suddenly not updating, I’ve noticed that many of my sidebar widget links are suddenly broken.

    I had a Goodreads widget showing “currently reading” that now suddenly showed HTML instead. (Which I’ve removed for now)
    Same with my page counter at the bottom.. it was working fine and now suddenly shows broken HTML.

    My “Ratings” sidebar, I had separated the lines with ‘<br>’ tags, but then started showing up as double-spaced, so I removed them to fix it.

    What has happened that would cause this to suddenly occur and how can I fix it? (Or CAN I fix it?)

    Okay, I managed to “fix” the counter one at the bottom.. it was reading just fine for the last few days however it was copied into the widget box, but now suddenly it seems that if the code had gone onto the second line, it stopped wanting to work properly.

    Still not sure why this would have suddenly come on though. What is it, and how can I prevent it from happening again?
