Widgets sliding to the bottom of the page

When working with widgets, when I have attempted to use a text box and put an image or an image linked to a website, and when I go and see what I’ve done, widgets are getting kicked down to the bottom of the page. I haven’t been able to discern a pattern except that it seems to involved the text boxes with images or videos.
