Widgets Showing Up With Latest Posts on Front Page

    Hello,

    When I go to customize and select latest posts I lose my second area widgets.

    I have visibility selected on
    Show If
    Page-Posts Page
    Page-Page
    Category-All Categories

    What am I missing? I want my latest posts, slider, header, and secondary widgets all showing up on my front page.

    Right now I have header and static front page which is great for my Secondary Widget Area but not exactly what I want.

    It seems like you currently have your Settings >> Reading section set to display a “Static Page”. To display your latest posts on the front you need to select the “Front page display – your latest post” dial check and save.

    When you say you have visibility selected on show if I assume you are referring to widgets that have that setting? Those must be from a plugin you have installed and it would help to know which it is so that I can check it out and hopefully be able to help you on that.

    Ok. Let me uninstall the plug in. The name of it is Simple Category Widget. I deactivated the widget and deleted it. I uninstalled your theme from WP and reinstalled but I’m still stuck. When I display “your latest posts” I lose my widgets so yeah it’s stuck on “static page.” Thanks for your help. My slider is set for the same as my static page so that’s probably why that’s not showing up.

    Would that be the standard widgets or the plugin related widgets?

    Will take a look at the plugin later today and get back to you on that.

    As for the slider it should show on the front page irrespective of the Settings >> Reading selection i.e it should show on the set static page or the blog feed (latest posts). Do you have a category selected for the slider?

    Sorry but I could not replicate the disappearing widget issue – all works fine on my test/staging and live server side.
