• “Widgets” should appear under “Appearance” on the left side options of the wp-admin.

“Widgets” is missing. I haven’t done any updates recently except upload 2 dozen themes. I have deleted all those themes, thinking they caused the problem, but this did not fix the problem.

You can see it for yourself:

  • For the record- I just reset my test environment and tried David’s fix and it seems to have worked as well. It also seems like the ‘right’ way to fix it ??

    Thanks David and Andrea!

    @longtailrider

When I use that php file in mu-plugins folder some error appears in wp-admin.

    Please give me an instruction.
we have 256 databases by multi-database plugin and in each database there is hundreds of tables !
    sorry for my BAD English

“some error”? You could provide the actual error message.

I created a txt file and copy-paste that code into it and renamed it to reset.php and upload to mu-plugins . but in the wp-admin there was a error

again I opened a .php file and copy-paste the code into it. and saved it.

and now all blogs are updating ??

    Thanks ??

I have the same missing page on my control panel, and the USERS too, like you (you have note that??). Im reading now all this post to see any solution.

    David,

hi, i know its been a while since this issue has been discussed. however, i had some users that came back to their sites recently, after i’ve upgraded from wpmu 2.9.2 to 3.0 > 3.1 now.

i have this problem with a few of the site admins now. and i am sure that this is the problem that is occuring.

i was wondering if the code/plugin you posted on the previous page is still useful for a 3.1 multi-site?

    thanks any help is appreciated.

All I can suggest is to try it on a “sandbox” install. At present, a) I don’t need the script to solve anything in my installs and haven’t actually used it if I recall, and b) I am not in any rush to update to 3.1 as I need a bunch of time to update a chain of plugins on which I personally I depend. Good luck, happy testing.

thank you sir! i should have probably thought of that myself lol.
