Hi I don’t know what’s going on with my blog, I’m coming back to it after months of inactivity so I’m a bit rusty. I am using the Journalist theme with 5 Widgets apparently but when I go to the Appearance menu in Admin to add or edit a Widget there is no Widgets option displayed! All that is there is Themes and Editor, totally baffled… Is the blog somehow corrupted, is there a way to ‘refresh’ ?

    Simon

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 3.1.2.

Thanks, I did not think I was going to get a reply so re-installed WordPress 3.1.2 before receiving your message

    Problem now solved
