Widgets not working

@cnstar33 Did you figure out the issue? I am having the same problem. My sidebar totally vanished from my site but it’s still there in the backend.

@dmiller53 YES! After hours of not only me researching, but a few others, I finally had the person who put my site together fix it! It had to do with my customized theme (I think). Whew….

@cnstar33 Do you know what the fix was? I have the Adelle theme as well and mine’s still not working.

@dmiller53 Make sure you have the latest WordPRess 4.4 as well as the latest Adelle theme (15.08.03).

Please deactivate all plugins for a moment while checking the site.

it had something to do with the customization of the theme. Did you customize anything?

go under appearance/customize/widgets.. what do you see there?

I don’t think that it had anything to do with the plugins, but I could be wrong!

@wongpk Thanks! I re-installed the theme and that seemed to do the trick. I’d already done everything else and nothing worked but once I installed the latest version of the theme, the sidebar returned. Thank you!
