Widgets not showing in sidebar

Hi
I have been looking around for a solution to this for a day or so now and cant seem to find anything that solves the problem. I have had no joy on buddypress either just hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I am using BP Default theme with fishbook child theme, the problem is when i log in as a user or admin the widgets in the sidebar only show up in the Activity Tab under the Item Navigation. If i click on Profile, messages, Friends, Achievements the widgets then disappear. I am going nuts over this any help here would be really appreciated.
