Widgets not saving text (9 year old problem still not fixed)

  • I go to update some text in a text box and all the code disappears after I hit save. I’ve gone through numerous older threads some going back 9 years! with no clear path to fixing. I’ve tried just about all the suggestions, with nothing. Frustrating that a problem this old isn’t fixed. So, my question is, is there a fix somewhere that I missed? Or can someone help me out?
    Version 3.6.1

  • 3.6.1 is more than three years old, upgrading to the latest version of WP would be a really good place to start.

    Not saying it will solve your problem, but it’s going to be a lot easier to get ideas and troubleshooting advice if you are running a recent version of WP.

    Ah, okay. I’m not a super admin, so I don’t think I can update, but I will pass along and hopefully get it updated.
