widgets in version 2.2

  • In the new WP 2.2 how do I turn on sidebar widgets? In previous WordPresses I managed the widgets under the “Presentation” tab and now I can’t find widgets anywhere. I’ve tried the other themes too including the default.

  • Does the theme(s) support widgets? That might be why they’re not showing up.

    Are the widgets listed on the plugins plage? if so, are they turned on?

    Widgets are not on the plugin page. I thought the widget plugin wasn’t necessary in the new wordpress? I’ll install it and try it then.

    Hmmm… I am afraid it’s a misunderstanding ??
    Most likely drmike referred to the widgets themselves – not to the thing called “Sidebar Widgets”, aka “widgets plugin”.
