• Getting an error using the Default WP theme.

    warning: array_key_exists() [function.array-key-exists]: the second argument should be either an array or an object in d:\hosting\4591565\html\nalates\wp-includes\widgets.php on line 858

    I am assuming that 3.0.4 comes widget enabled. Or is there something I need to install to enable dynamic widgets?

    This install has been upgraded 3 or 4 times. Should I just uninstall WP and start with a clean install?

    I removed the Contact Form widget and the error went away. :/

    Now the error is back… ??

    I’ve tried deactivating all the widgets and still get error in line 858.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Search on error wp-includes\widgets.php on line 858

    This error is all over the web now.It’s not just me. But, I have yet to find the cause or a solution.

    Finally found the problem. The theme I was trying to use had an extra

    update_option( ‘sidebars_widgets’, NULL );

    That flushed the widgets stuff and caused all the themes to have a problem until the widgets were redone.

    Commenting it out allowed all themes to work.

    Where Can I found this extra

    update_option( ‘sidebars_widgets’, NULL );

    In which file?
    Thanks

    Arno

    I use the deVision theme and I have this problem…
    I seems to be in relation with the Sidebar

    Do you have a tip?

    If you have a problem, post a new message. Tacking onto an old message is not helpful.

    Disable all plugins, rename your theme folder devisionold and check your site. Do widgets work? Change the name of your theme folder back to the original. Do widgets work? If so, add plugins one by one until the site breaks.
