Widgets disappeared when I added new widget

I added in a new text widget tonight and as soon as I did all my other widgets from both the side bar and footer disappeared on the visual of the page. When in the widget area in the back side I can see the widgets are where they ought to be, but they are not coming through the the web side of the house. Any ideas?
