Widgets destroyed and can’t save them

    Hi there!

    There’s a known issue with saving after adding blocks in the Widgets screen, but it shouldn’t interfere with your existing widgets. Is this the problem you are experiencing?

    If it’s a different issue, could you share some more details on where it is occurring and which widgets are being destroyed?

    Hi, thank you!
    When I wrote this post the day before yesterday widget area was changed to Gutenberg for unknown reason, may be it was till I installed Gutenberg and didn’t notice.
    How can I deactivate Gutenberg for widget area?
    If I activate Gutenberg url changes from xxx.com/wp-admin/widgets.php to xxx.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=gutenberg-widgets
    I don’t want to use Gutenberg for widget area.

    You can still access the old screen by going to xxx.com/wp-admin/widgets.php directly, but I’m afraid the only way of reverting the wp-admin links to the old url is by disabling the Gutenberg plugin.

    I have the same kind of issue with themes 2020 and 2021. Widgets can’t be saved.
