widgets > Can't edit options > blank drop downs

  • I saw some dialog on this before when I originally had the problem a couple months ago, but I was forced to restore the site to the previous version 3.1.4 … but I tried to work the upgrade from a smarter pov on advice from here or a friend; I do not recall.

    My major issue is that when I add a widget or try to see the options for a widget they do not appear. The dropdown ajax (?) action is invisible and impossible to change; so I am stuck with defaults which is killing me.

    These dropdown controls are working fine within my Themekraft theme.

    mySQL 5.0.90
    PHP 5.2.13

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
