• Firstly, apologies for my continually posting here..
    Further to my last post about no php plugins working. I have discovered that even though I have say the exec-php plugin installed, it is not showing in the widgets avialable section? Something to do with no php code executing..?
    Thanks if you can help

  • the exec-php plugin does not create a widget.
    it has however some requirements for user capabilities and some settings – refer to the plugin documentation and/or the links the plugin provides in the setup area.

    Thanks ,but I already have made all the modifications as mentioned in the documentation, simply cannot even get the most basic php code to work?

    You’ve been over all the documentation?

    Have you covered this part?

    try to change to the Twenty Ten theme to exclude any theme related causes.

    to exclude any interference by other plugins, try and disable all other plugins than the ‘exec-php’ and whatever is definitely needed to run the php codes;
    if this solves the problem, re-activate one plugin at the time, to find out which was causing the problem.

    where are you trying to add the php code – pages, posts, textwidgets?
    are you using the html editor mode?

    Yes I have been through the documentation and have made all the suggested changes. I have tried switching themes, and deactivating all plugins then reactivating only the exec-php one..
    I have tried to place code everywhere..
    I am not sure what you mean by using the html editior, when applying code to a page for example I just place it in the text editor.. which has had the visual element deactivated..

    Hi again..
    I just tried again placing php code in a txt box inside a sidebar widget and was able to get the code to run.. So it seems that maybe only php code in pages is not working
