widgets and boxes not visible in Designfolio theme

I am using Designfolio theme.I have ‘Google custom search’ code entered in Text widget and when i add this widget to sidebar,it does not appear.Only dotted line is seen.
Another issue is Invisibility of boxes on ‘Comments’ portion.Only text is visible.I have ‘subscribe vie Email’ widget and there also no box visible to enter email address although we can enter the text.
