widgetizing sidebar not working :'(

    hey …

    i really don’t get the widgetized sidebar to work.
    I’ve tried for more than one hour with all the turorials i could get … nothing got my sidebar to work with widgets … :'(

    I copied the code 100% which still didn’t help … I still get:
    No Sidebars Defined

    Could anyone please help me out? :'(
    I know that this SHOULD be easy … but I don’t get it :'(

    They work with downloaded themes …
    I tried to copy&paste the code from there … still not working :'(
