I’ve been using this plugin without any issues for a while now. However it now seems to be refusing to update and show any new posts, staying stuck on older ones.

Here’s a link to a page with it on the right. The UPW is the ‘Speakers’, ‘What’s On’ etc. tabs that I’ve just used some JS to switch between:
    https://npc.org.au/speakers/

Under ‘Speakers’ there are two posts that should be appearing (which you can see listed on that linked page – ‘Noel Pearson’ and ‘Kelly O’Dwyer’). However only the less recently created one (Noel) is. Both were created within a day of each other with no plugin updates between them. If I create a brand new post it won’t show up, either. It seems to have gotten stuck on that set. Basically the “Hon Kelly O’Dwyer” post is missing, despite being the most recent post in that category.

If you look at the code you’ll see that there are three other posts listed from the past, which have been hidden. I can’t filter out posts with a particular category (which they are assigned once they are no longer current) so I’ve just set the CSS to hide them.

I’ve emptied my W3 caches, disabled the caching plugin completely, updated all other plugins, saved the widget settings etc. None of that seems to have an effect.

So I’ve discovered that it’s due to the custom field ordering not working correctly. I have a custom date field (inserted via ‘Advanced Custom Fields’) that I was ordering the posts by. Originally this was working correctly, but after some tinkering it looks as though it no longer is. Once I change the order to a different value (E.g. random or title) then it works as expected.

Is there anything that I can do to rectify this?

This turned out to be a conflict with the ‘Post Types Order’ plugin. Disabling it rectified the issue.
