    Hi
    I’ve just started using Estatik PRO plugin AND the paid for NATIVE theme.

    Reading the scrappy documentation and watching the very basic video tutorials, I am extremely frustrated with this suite of products.

    My Question Is;
    1. Which widgets appear on which page templates?

    As an example – the enquiry form widget will only appear on certain types of page template and not others – but you do not include an explanation of how the various templates are laid out or what they will and will not display. ( see link https://estatik.net/estatik-plugin-documentation/#document-16 )

    Hi JCK,

    Sorry if our documentation is not enough, your request is a good push for us to improve it as soon as possible.

    Theme has following templates which will look and may include following widgets:
    1. Specific properties template – is used when you want create page with listings with search widget on banner background on top like this page >> https://themes.estatik.net/
    To build this page you should add search widget to sidebar – Banner Sidebar for Search and select template Specific in page settings.
    2. Estatik Listing template – is used to show just listings without any widgets on it.
    3. Agents – template created for [es_agents] page and include displaying banners that you can change via Theme Options >> Banners.
    4.
    Backend – template for [es_login], [es_prop_management], [es_profile], [es_register]
    5. Estatik Contact – template for Contact us page, goes also with banners.
    6. News – template with all news published on site, has no widgets and sidebars

    Single property page can be created using all widgets Estatik Pro has (search, slideshow, request form), added to sidebars – Estatik Single Sidebar, Estatik Top of Single Page Sidebar

    Hi
    Thanks for the quick response;
    I understand points 1 to 4 – Thank you

    Item 5 – CONTACT; When used, this template does not permit the display of any text created as part of the page – so for example;
    if you visit https://www.flintshirelettings.co.uk/contact-us/

    you will see that I have created a page with some body text etc. What I really want is for that page to appear exactly as it is, but with the ESTATIK contact form ALSO displayed either below or to the side.

    The template that is currently being used for this page is es_specific_props (which is not mentioned in your response above) If I used the CONTACT template,. all my own text disappears and I only get a fill-in form with no means of adding extra content.

    Item 6. NEWS
    Why no widgets for this page?

    SINGLE PROPERTY PAGE This seems to be the most flexible layout, but, what is this template called? How do actually create a single property page ? This is the kind of layout I should be able to use for hand-crafted pages for things like “about us” etc, but I do not know how to create a single property page

    ALSO
    What are templates ONLY FOR PRO / SPECIFIC PROPS / TYPOGRAPHY for?

    Thanks

    Hi Again

    I just noticed something else….
    You say in your response above “2. Estatik Listing template – is used to show just listings without any widgets on it.

    BUT

    On the widget manager in wordpress, there is a widget location called “ESTATIK LISTING SIDEBAR”
    I am confused now….

    OK
    Just trawled through the whole list of templates trying each one out and have found the following;

    WIDGETS POSITIONS AVAILABLE ARE:

      PRIMARY SIDEBAR
      CONTENT SIDEBAR
      FOOTER WIDGET AREA
      ESTATIK LISTING SIDEBAR
      ESTATIK SINGLE SIDEBAR
      ESTATIK TOP OF PAGE SIDEBAR
      ESTATIK TOP OF SINGLE PAGE SIDEBAR
      BANNER SIDEBAR FOR SEARCH

    I then dropped a text widget into each of these positions and completed the TITLE field and the CONTENT field with basic text so I could identify what was being positioned where.

    I then selected a page and cycled through each template type, checking what appeared on the page each time I changed the template and found this;

    TEMPLATE TYPES AVAILABLE:

      DEFAULT
      AGENTS
      BACKEND
      CONTACT
      GENERAL
      LISTING
      NEWS
      ONLY FOR PRO
      SPECIFIC PROPS
      TYPOGRAPHY

    Each template behaved differently and showed different elements as follows;

      DEFAULT – No top banner, no sidebars – only content
      AGENTS – No top banner, 2 x side banners & content
      BACKEND – No banners, no sidebars – only content
      CONTACT – No top banner, 2 x side banners, CONTACT FORM, NO CONTENT
      GENERAL – No top banner, no side banners – only content
      LISTING – No top banner, LISTING SIDEBAR, TOP OF SINGLE PAGE SIDEBAR & content
      NEWS – No top banner, no sidebars, no sidebanners, NO CONTENT (I assume this template is to display an aggregation of news types
      ONLY FOR PRO – No top banner, no sidebanners, no sidebars, NO CONTENT
      SPECIFIC PROPS – Header Banner, no side banners, no sidebars, only content shown
      TYPOGRAPHY – No top banner, no sidebanners, no sidebars, CONTENT ONLY

    This is a confusing mess;
    The ONLY widget positions that are displaying are
    TOP OF SINGLE PAGE SIDEBAR
    LISTING SIDEBAR
    BANNER SIDEBAR FOR SEARCH

    Can somebody at your end please sort out what is supposed to be appearing and where and FULLY document this stuff – I have WASTED TWO WHOLE DAYS NOW TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF THIS
    Thank you
