Found a version of 3.9 on another account, swapped out the folders and widget is working again, so definitely a bug with 3.10. Moral of the story? – download/save your plugins!

On your FTP server, go to /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/widgets/ then copy file list-widget.php and overwrite existing one in /wp-content/themes/your_theme/tribe-events/widgets/ and that’s it.

If you have done any changes previously in that file, like I did, you will have to do changes again.

Thanks Le Georges, but I already fixed it simply by uploading the 3.9 folder – no other steps needed. Maybe Tribe already knows about this and there’s a fix on the way. Until then, I’m sticking with 3.9

Same problem for me. Just installed this plugin to a site under development. Widget is not showing any events while there definitively are some.

Yup. It’s a drag. The whole idea behind child themes and such is to preserve custom settings and modifications when updates occur. If indeed Tribe is messing with that, then that is seriously a bad move and they should at the very least spell out what the fix is.

    Hello,

    I have same problem.

In my FTP doesnt exist /wp-content/themes/your_theme/tribe-events/widgets folder. I only have /wp-content/themes/your_theme/tribe-events/ and inside there a file called widgets.

    I have tried both options:

    – Create a widgets folder and copy the file there
    – rename the file from list-widget.php to widgets

    No one worked.

Please could you help me or tell when can I download a 3.9 version?

    Regards

Maybe Tribe has all their versions posted somewhere, like on Github, but I couldn’t find it.

    Thank you!!

    Yes, thanks Presskopp!

My customer just told me to drop this plugin. I’m out..

I have the same issue the events are still there however they are not displaying. I will give it few days before I downgrade. It is a very annoying issue.

Le Georges – out of curiousity I just tried this. While it did get the widget to work, it screwed up the regular Events list view. So back to 3.9 again I go. That version (at least for now) still works.

And to turn off the red update notification for the Events Calendar in the dashboard so that I don’t keep getting pestered to update, I’ve changed the version number for 3.9.3 to Version: 999999

I can confirm this problem, my widgets all showing “No upcoming events” even though I had 2 entries for the following days.

Btw: I’m only using events that go the whole day.
