Widget section

There should be a section on how to write a widget.
This is clearly different from writing a plugin, in fact it took me a while to work out that a widget was infact a type of plugin.
To say I am lost is an understatement.
I am basically copying and modifying a widget that works but how it works, where it stores it’s options, still no idea.
