Widget redirecting on submit

I personally cannot think of any reason that the shortcode would work in a page or post, but not load the necessary files in the footer.

Either way the shortcode is loading the scripts and styles into the header of the site. It’s strange because I can’t replicate the issue, the form is working all over my test site whether the heade,r content or the footer.

Both the widget and the php code you mentioend above (<?php echo do_shortcode(' [yikes-mailchimp form="1"]' ); ?>) should be loading the scripts and styles in the same manner.

You can give a re-install a try, but if things are working in the content of the pages they should also be working in the footer.
