Widget points total out of sync with actual total

    Hi,

    I have added the “User Points” widget to my site, which displays the total points earned for activity posts for that user when viewing their profile. The actual points earned (currently) are 40, which is correctly shown in the “User Earnings” and on the user’s profile under the profile photo. However on the widget it’s 30, even after a page refresh, clearing of the GamiPress cache and update to the latest GamiPress version. If a new activity post is made, the points increase on the profile page under the photo, in the user earnings and on the widget all increase by 10, but there is still a 10 points difference. Anyone else come across this issue?

    Hi @scrappydoo ,

    If you are using BuddyBoss or BuddyPress and you are using the widget to show GamiPress points on the profile, this issue occurs because you are showing the points of the current logged user instead of the points of the profile shown.

    Please, use the next snippet to show the correct information using the profile’s ID: https://gamipress.com/snippets/buddypress-integration/force-to-use-buddypress-displayed-user-instead-of-user-logged-in/ .

    Thanks Tino and yes correct I am using BuddyBoss. I will try the snippet you linked to, sounds like it might address the problem. Just to point out that the profile I’m viewing is my own when I’m logged in, so presumably the totals should be the same?

    Added the code snippet but didn’t have any effect unfortunately. As above, I am the logged in user and I’m looking at my own profile. Under the name on my profile page it says “30 blog posts” and “40 activity posts”. In the widget right next to this, it says “30 blog posts” and “30 activity posts”. Under user earnings it correctly shows “30 activity posts” and “40 blog posts”. Where do I go from here?
