Hi there, I have this plugin installed on https://www.automoblog.net/ displaying a “Trending Now” widget on the sidebar.

It’s working fine on the home page, but on individual posts it’s showing “No top posts yet”

In my theme, I have a home page sidebar and an “everything else” sidebar, and I have the widget settings duplicated across the two, so it should be working. In fact, it was working fine, and then suddenly one day it was doing this.

What could be causing this issue?

    Thanks!

Can you try deleting the widget and adding it again? Also try clearing / disabling the cache in the plugin settings page.

Yes I’ve tried that already and it didn’t work. I’ve tried changing the settings to various different settings and still it doesn’t work.

    Thank you

Can you please post screenshots of the various widget settings?

Hi Ajay, here are screenshots of the widgets in that sidebar. The home page sidebar is identical, except it doesn’t have the TOC+ widget, and both also have an adsense banner in a text widget below these:

    screen 2

That is indeed rather strange. There are a few things you will need to check to debug across both pages. Are you in a position to test this, either live or ideally on a production/staging site?

Install Query Monitor plugin. This should let you get the exact query that Top 10 produces for the widget.

Check what query is generated on the home page and then on the inner page. Can you post them here?

Also, worthwhile running them in phpMyAdmin or Adminer.

Hi Ajay, thanks. I have Query Monitor installed, but I’m not sure exactly what you’d like to see. Which part should I paste here?

I’ve found that my home page has 1,544 DB queries – that’s not normal, is it?

Single pages have 40 queries :/ Seems like W3TC is taking up most of those on the home page.

Anyway that’s a problem for a different time, please let me know which parts you’d like to see.

    Thanks!

I fixed this by uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it
