Widget only?

  • Update: I upped the rating another notch to 4 stars for attentive and constructive response from the author. However, the missing star is to say that this plugin is a bit outdated due to its implementation method and should be improved to work better with current version of WP.

    After installing and going through all the config to connect to an IG account, it dawns on me that this plugin only displays IG feed using a widget. I know, it’s in the name of the plugin. I’m so used to building WP sites with Gothenburg blocks nowadays, widgets and shortcodes feel so old school. In fact, the new widget editor doesn’t even support widgets anymore. I wish the author create a Gothenburg block version for this plugin.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    However, we find it a bit unfair to receive a lower rating for a feature that is nowhere advertised in the plugin description. We would appreciate it if you could change that.

    We’ll take into account adding a Gutenberg block feature to the plugin. Until then, you can use the plugin within blocks by generating a shortcode with a specialized plugin:
