Widget not working

Hi,

I’ve hit a wall here. I’ve seen you state on other posts on this forum that shortcodes shouldn’t be used on the home page – rather you should use the widget. My issue is that the widget doesn’t work. In the backend when I try and add it to a sidebar to use on the homepage, it simply says ‘This block encountered an error and cannot be previewed’. And then on the front page nothing is displayed.

I use the Divi theme and I simply won’t use anything else so I hope you can help me resolve this because otherwise I’ll have to start again with a new plugin which would be a shame because I really like all the other functionality of the plugin.
