    Hey Folks!
I used your plugin to create a custom sidebar space for my home page as I wanted to use the “simple social icons” plugin on the front page of my site, but not be restricted to the header or footer areas.

I know the simple social icons plugin works fine on my site as I’ve used it in the theme’s regular sidebars on other pages of the site. Unfortunately, it’s not working in my home page sidebar. Have you any tips for what might be causing this issue?

My theme is Woocommerce’s Storefront, with their child theme Stationery.

    Cheers,
    K

  • Hi @alittlereddress,

    Hope you’re doing well ??

I just tested Simple Social Icons with Storefront theme and Custom Sidebars and had no issues with displaying them on there.

I couldn’t get a hold of Stationery child theme so I’m wondering if that could be the cause, can you try using parent theme and see if icons are shown after that?

    Cheers,

    Hiya Predrag,

Maybe my problem is that I’m trying to use the widgetised areas in a place that’s not normally a widget area. I’ve tried putting it in the middle of my home page.

Here’s where… just above the purple button in the screenshot.

    Hi @alittlereddress,

I don’t think that should be a problem, could you give me URL of your home page as well as another page where icons are working so I could do some comparison and see what might be causing this?

    Hi Predrag,

The site is currently in maintenance mode. I could post the links, but I don’t know if you’d see them.

This is the home page where the screen shot is coming from:
    https://www.sewhoitytoity.com.au/

This is the contact page where it is working fine:

If you know another way for me to show you this, I’m open to suggestions. ??

Thank you for using Custom Sidebars. I’m gonna mark this resolved for now because support was moved to email. If you’re still having issues please reopen and we’ll get right back to you.
