• Hello, I was hoping you could help me with this. Now when I add a new widget to the sidebar it shows at the bottom of the page. This is my page: https://www.danielaark.com and you can see how the social media widget that I added to the sidebar is showing at the bottom. Also not sure if related, pleas note the footer is not the same with as the rest of the blog (1200 px) as it used to be. Not sure why it change to full with and how to fix it. Thanks!

  • Hi Daniela,

    Thanks for writing in,

After taking a look into your website it doesn’t gives us exact occurring problem as you’ve explained to us. Would you mind clarifying the problem a bit more with some screenshots. If the new widget you are talking about is text-area bottom side of sidebar so there is wrong code written is noted.

    https://prntscr.com/72utzl

As shown in the above screenshot. Secondly also footer seems to be fine as not using full width as per you’ve mentioned above. Look in the screenshot it seems to be well.

Moreover providing us more clear views will be more easier for us to assist.

    Thanks.

    Hi emranemranx,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I really appreciate it!

Unfortunately I had to remove the widget! the entire blog in the landing page stopped working. I was not able to click in the links in the posts titles and the thumbnails.

I can see in your screenshot that the footer takes the whole width of the page. So not sure why you say it is not. On top of it you can see how the blog area is boxed at 1200 px. The footer used to be boxed at 1200 px just like the rest of the blog.

I created the widget again so I could make a screenshot. If you go to the page you won’t see it because I had to remove it for the blog to work. Here is the screen shot:

    https://prntscr.com/72vg89

In the screenshot you can see the two social media icons showing at the bottom of the blog. Any new widget I add to the sidebar shows there, if I added last after the textbox you show in the screenshot. Therefore, maybe it is the code you highlighted for me. That code is supposed to be just the link to an image so unfortunately I don’t see what is wrong with it. Can you tell me?

Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi Daniela,

Firstly, the code of link you had entered into that text-area which is a form’s part was incorrect for showing a link either an image.

Secondly, the footer is showing completely fine at our end as also given into this new link:

    https://prntscr.com/72vno1

Which is taken by Google Chrome browser and we’ve also tested your webpage on internet explorer for the sake of your satisfaction as in the second screenshot:

    https://prntscr.com/72vogj

Which also shows that there are no social icons are showing up under the content boxes.

If you wish to show the link or image correctly on your widget you may consult with your developer or we also can assist you into that if you provide us more information about the link or image which you want to use into your webpage.

    Thanks.

I don’t have a developer that’s why I asked for help. Thanks for trying!
