I’m now copy/pasting the shortcode at the end of each blog post and/or page to get the newsletter signup form to show.

The MailChimp for WordPress widget only shows the title “Newsletter” at the top of the sidebar, but does NOT show the actual form.

The widget used to work; now it doesn’t. Can’t figure out why.

BTW: in the widget, under “visibility”, under “visible at”, the correct word is “EXCEPTING”, not “expecting”.

    Hi there,

This looks like it isn’t caused by the MailChimp for WordPress plugin. Also, there is no text mention of “Expecting” in my plugin, are you sure you’re not mistaking my plugin with another one?

Could it be that you have some kind of plugin that conditionally shows widgets?

    Hi,

Check out the actual MailChimp for WordPress widget. Under Visibility>Visible At, there’s a choice of *all pages*, *all pages, expecting*, and *no pages, expecting*.

But the MailChimp for WordPress short code only works if manually inserted vs using the widget. How could the problem not be the plugin?

Please explain why “This looks like it isn’t caused by the MailChimp for WordPress plugin.” ? I’d like to fix the problem.

    Hi there,

The MailChimp for WordPress plugin does not have an option to choose visibility. You’re most likely using another plugin that adds this to every widget.

As the sign-up form widget stopped showing, my best bet is that this plugin also causes the widget to stop showing.

Could you post a list of your active plugins here?

    Hi there,

It’s the Jetpack Visibility Module , are you sure playing around with the “visibility” settings doesn’t make the sign-up form reappear?

    Hi,
I did play around with the visibility settings. I also tried deleting the widget entirely and adding the short code to the end of each page/post, but that resulted in truncated and doubled signup forms.

I’ve deleted this plugin and installed MailChimp List Subscribe Form. It’s working fine.

Ok, if that plugin does the job for you: great. ??
