With some tweaking and re-adding of my individual calendar feeds I think I have the grouped list widget working, with the exception that the list for each day is being output in alphabetical order by the event title (I think), and it really should be output by the time of the event, earliest to latest. It’s weird to have an event at 6:30pm above one on the same day at 3:00pm. How can I order these by time?

    Thanks!

Wow that is really weird. It should be ordering them by time by default. We don’t have any options to order them differently.

And this is in a widget correct?

I will have to do some testing/looking into this to find out what might be the cause.

    Nick,

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I’m using the widget included with the plugin. And I chose the grouped calendar I had created under the dropdown in the widget.

And adding the grouped calendar, I selected the different calendars to include “manually” (I tried using a category but it didn’t work). But the manual selection of the calendars worked good, other than the ordering by title alphabetically versus by time of the event when grouped by day.

Thanks for looking into this. I really appreciate it and love your plugin.

Alright I just tested this out and I am not getting the same result that you are. They are being listed in order by time like they should be.

Maybe you can try running through this: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/troubleshooting-theme-plugin-widget-conflicts/

This can help us rule out any other possible conflicts before digging deeper.

Assuming this has been resolved since there has not been a reply here. Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!

    Hey there,
I get the same problem here.
When displaying a grouped calendar (both in list and grid view), the events are not listed by time.
My website is in Hebrew but it’s easy to see the problem – look at January 26 or 28 for instance: the first event starts at 8:30pm and the second starts at 6:30pm.

    Thanks!

    Hi talsab87,

I am using a Genesis theme and framework. Does yours happen to be that also? Maybe it’s related to that? I think my list is being ordered by the title of the event, and not the time of the event. I added a grouped calendar, and I selected the different calendars to include “manually”.

I also did the testing that Nick suggested above with same results.

Please let me know if you find a solution.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kelli,

I use a customized theme, and selected the grouped calendar by category. I think the calendars are first ordered by the date they were added to the category and then by the start time of the event.

    No sultion yet…

Hi yes sorry that I did not post here!

The last update to 3.0.13 should fix this. Let me know if it doesn’t for any of you.

    Thanks!
