• Hi Cats, I love your theme stained glass. I am attempting to add links to the images in the GL Images Widget. I want to link to another page on my (password protected) website but that doesn’t work. An external url works. Could you help me understand what I’m doing wrong? Thanks..

Also, there might be a bug in the GL Widget for Buttons. It won’t take a Title no matter what.

    Thanks again!

I got the images urls to work now. ?? But the Buttons widget still won’t take a Title. THanks.

cppete2 – How did you get the images to link to an url?

Love the look of Stained Glass theme but it’s blocking me everywhere for changes. Finally just managed to change theme pictures to my pictures, and titles though I’d love to have spaces between them, yet another task to tackle. But for now would love to work out how to do links to urls.

AussieErin – the GL Images Widget finally started linking to my internal url on my password protected website – I just kept trying until it worked – don’t know what I was doing wrong to start with. I entered into the Image LINK: field on my GL Images Widget as follows: https://mysite.com/myotherpage/

I too wanted space between the widget’s images (is that what you’re referring to?). There’s a box toward the top of the widget under Main Options – uncheck the box “No Margins”

I’ve spent three weeks now on Stained Glass and love it. Learning more and more every day, but still can be challenging.

Cant seem to find where to change the information that appears on the panel that shows when you hover over one of the three items under “Our Services” I’ll take help from anyone. I’m sure it’s simple but i cant find it. Thank you in advance.

tedchu2009 -Click on to “Customize” on top of page in Glass. Click on Widgets.
Click on Home Before Footer Sidebar
    Click on Add a Widget
Add widget called “GL Images (GLASS)”.
    (you can reorder if desired)
Customize it – TITLE could be “Our Services”
    Columns – could be “3”
Image size could be “Post Thumbnail”
Number of images could be “3” (Press apply)
Main Options button – could be checkmarked on Background images and No margins
Image 1 button – Upload desired image
Header would be your choice 1
Hover Effect Style could be “Caption (1)”
    Image 2 button – repeat Image 1
Image 3 button – repeat again
    There you have it !

(To follow up on the above post) I just realized that the “Our Services” section defaults on your page whenever a sidebar is empty. So, you must have created a widget in each sidebar under Customze>Widgets, in order for the Our Services NOT to show up.

I have just started using Glass (and WP).
I have followed the ‘recipee’ for changing the 3 images on the Header page by adding the three GL Items widgets. No problem for changing the image (from the Media Library) or the header but when I try to enter the Link url (to one of my pages), it does not hold when I do s Save.
    Could anyone please explain?
    Thanks
