    Are the files class-wc-widget-layered-nav-new.php and abstract-wc-widget.php able to be overwritten by custom themes? I edited the files to make filter categories expandable, it’s a pain restoring them every update

    It’s not possible to override these files; you can only extend the class or can use the available filters for customization.

    If you would like to include some filters in the core of WooCommerce, which aren’t available at the moment, you can post your feedback/issue on our GitHub repository here:
