Are you saying that the “posts-in-sidebar” directory is empty after the upgrade? Very strange! I updated my sites and didn’t see this behavior.

Try to copy the files of the plugin manually.

    Let me know, please.

Plugin was working great before update but stopped working afterwards. It was just saying “No posts yet.” where it used to display on the sidebar and in my footer.
I opened it up in the dashboard and found that everything still looked on and the categories were all still showing. I clicked “save” at the bottom anyway and that worked, the posts are all showing again.

Happened the same here. Thanks for the tip BNOTP.

The zip file for the update 1.23 does not include the posts-in-sidebar-widget.php and widget-forms-functions.php files.

As BNOTP wrote, saving the widget again solves the issue.

Those files were moved into a separate directory, so they should be in inc directory. Could you tell me if those files are there?

I’m having the same problem as @bnotp, however resaving the settings does not work. Do you have another fix?

Have you activated the cache option? If so, type 0 in the field “The cache will be used for (in seconds)” to reset the cache.

    Let me know.

Going back to the previous version (1.22) which I had saved in the backup solved the problem for now.

    @aldolat
I just saw your response; no I do not have the cache option activated.

I tried the update again, and re-saving worked for some items but not for all. Didn’t have time to check what the differences were (so many options); playing with a live site and had to restore 1.22.

I just released the 1.24 version, that solves this issue.
    Thanks for your patience.

Confirmed – that works great. Thanks!

    Thanks for the feedback! ??

I had the same problem when I tried upgraded to 1.24, even after I re-saved the settings. Had to go back to version 1.22 again.

Please, check if the field “Text when no posts are found” isn’t blank. Enter something, save the widget and view your site. Obviously make this test using the last version.

    Let me know, please.
