widget drag and drop fail?

  • I decided to add another widget (text box) after the site has been up for a while. but the drag and drop function does not seem to be working.

    tested in both IE and Firefox. wordpress V. 2.9.1

    not sure if this started after the latest update or not, as I haven’t added any widgets in a while.

    suggestions? workarounds?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
