    Hi

For some reason, the widget has recently stopped working in Chrome. I have tested it in Microsoft Edge, Safari and Ecosia and they all work. In Chrome on a Windows 10 machine the loader just keeps spinning.

If you visit the page shown the page should appear at the bottom of the right sidebar, where it says u3a UK.

Do you have any ideas how I can fix this?

    Thanks

    Ian

  • Agree with @cihomewood. I have the same problem.

Same problem here. My chrome version are Version 100.0.4896.127 (Officiel version) (64-bit)

Same problem on my site, inamerica.nl.
The plugin works fine (as sitebar in DIVI) and I can see a good result in the Opera Browser, but I can’t see the Facebook Feed in Chrome and Edge. It tries to load, but no showing Facebook.
    Is there an solution?

Is there any chance this could be fixed?

Any workaround regarding this? Same issue for me. The Facebook Page Plugin @ my Customizing > Widgets > Sidebar Right isn’t being displayed if you’re using Google Chrome (Version 104.0.5112.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)) though it’s being displayed on Microsoft Edge (Version 104.0.5112.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)).

I haven’t found one. If there is another plugin with the sidebar widget function I’d love to hear about it.

Has anybody found an alternate plugin, as the author of this one doesn’t seem interested in responding to this issue?

    Hi Milap

Since removing this plug-in I have moved my site to php 8.1 and now, when I reinstall it I get the following error when I go to Appearance-Widgets

    TypeError thrown

in_array(): Argument #2 ($haystack) must be of type array, string given

So, at the moment I cannot tell if it works in Chrome.

    I am on WordPress 6.1.1

    Hi @cihomewood,

I just fixed above issue today morning and pushed changes before 7 hours from now. Can you please deactivate plugin, remove if added in widget and try to install again and try ?

    Let me know.

    Regards, Milap

Deactivated, deleted, re-installed and same error. This is v6.2 of the plug-in.

    Hi @cihomewood,

This is weird. I just tested with PHP version 8.1, WordPress version 6.1.1 and Plugin version 6.2 and it worked without any issues.

I need to replicate this issue to look into and fix it.

    Regards, Milap

Same issue here. Using Chrome browser (with no extensions) the widget display the facebook feed just fine unless I am logged into facebook – then the widget fails to load. Seems to work fine using Firefox or Chrome on IOS.
