Widget – Display the users avatar/profile image

Any help on this would be fantastic?

Event if you could point me to where the plugin pulls the relevant data in through the API, I might then be able to figure out if I can accomplish what I’m hoping to achieve?

Hi Danny,

The file you’re looking for is in:

em-beer-manager/includes/widgets/embm-widget-untappd

Specifically the function EMBM_Widget_Untappd_Recent_display. It’s not using the API as of yet, instead it’s using the published XML check-in feeds. The feed returns a link to a dedicated page for the user’s checkin (e.g. https://untappd.com/user/ErinMorelli/checkin/288786065). You might be able to leverage this to retrieve the user’s profile image as the page does load an avatar image.

I do plan to eventually integrate the API with this widget as a future improvement, which should allow for some better features.

Hi Danny,

I know it’s been awhile, but I wanted to let you know that starting with v3.0.0 the Untappd check-ins widget is now using the Untappd API and can optionally display the user’s avatars!
