Using Buddypress to create a membership site. Have placed a UserOnline widget on a page with statistics-type ‘Users Browsing Site’.

When clicking on the link formed by the user’s name it takes me to the url ../author/user-name which results in a ‘Nothing Found’ (as users do not create Posts). I had assumed that clicking on the user’s name would result in being taken to their profile page.

The correct url would be ../member/user-name (for Buddypress).

Is there a way to change this or is it baked into the template? Or is it that UserOnline just isn’t compatible with Buddypress?

Alternatively, is there a way to disable the addition of the link on the user name

    Regards.

This plugin is not designed with BuddPress in mind. You can disable the link to username under the settings, “Link user names?”

Hello Lester. OK, fair enough, many thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, of course, I had forgotten about the Link User Names setting! Excellent reminder.
