Hi, I have been trying desperately to get the widget work in combination with the standard woocommerce products filter widget. I have placed both widgets in the same sidebar and would like to filter say three taxonomies with the BTF widget and the rest of the taxonomies with the standard woocommerce filter widget.

The reason is that the woocommerce widget offers better usability for some taxonomies, like colour for instance and also allows to display product attributes as checkboxes. Also, most premium woocommerce themes come with nicely designed filter widgets, so it would be great to use them in combination with BTF.

Is a combination of the BTF and woocommerce widget in one and the same sidebar supposed to work? If this was possible, it would mean some REAL big added value of BTF! Thanks for your help!

    Hi Moscato,

Unfortunately BTF is not built in any way to specifically work with WooCommerce.
The reason for that is actually because of the saturated market. There are already so many filtering/sorting plugins available for WooCommerce products that I do not feel that BTF is really needed.

It may very well be possible to use BTF with WooCommerce but I’ve not done any extensive testing or WC specific code for that purpose.

So I’m afraid, to answer your question, that BTF probably will not work 100% in tandem with WC core filtering without doing modifications yourself. Nor do I really plan on workin on it in the immediate future. There is already not enough time in my daily life to make BTF what I want it to be so I have to prioritize other functionality ??

Hi, Ok –?thanks for getting back to me, this makes total sense. It’s a pity that BTF doesn’t work in tandem with WC filters, but I see what you mean. Thanks again for this great plugin, keep pushing!

    No worries!
Hopefully you can still find use for BTF or find another solution which satisfies your particular needs ??
